Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are excellent for businesses and individuals alike. Employers’ recruit and train their apprentice or apprentices on the job with the skills required to drive their business to succeed. The duration of our apprenticeships in Kent is typically one year, from the programme start date, with a minimum of 30 working hours a week. Our trained Assessors with years’ experience in their fields, work with the employer and apprentice throughout the learner’s journey until completion. Unlike colleges, SEK Training delivers the training onsite or in our training rooms in Herne Bay or Ashford, on a one-to-one basis or a small group for functional skills.

Changes to apprenticeship funding mean businesses with a pay bill more than £3m will fund the cost of training. Companies with a pay bill less than £3m may be eligible for fully-funded or co-funded apprenticeships paid for by the Government. If you’re not sure what applies to your business, contact Kirsty Hawkins today on 01227 469973.
