Health & Social Care Qualifications

We have been delivering Health and Social Care qualifications for more than 10-years. The training and assessment will take place at your workplace by our highly-qualified and experienced practitioners.

Choose range our range of qualifications and select the learning pathway to specialise in Dementia, Learning Disabilities, or follow a generic Adult Social Care route. The employer and employee choose the units to study with the Assessor providing these reflect the job role and promote progression.

These are the main qualifications the Care Quality Commission in England and the Care Councils in Wales and Northern Ireland require.

The Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification sets the foundation for working in adult social care. This qualification will include the following units:

  • Introduction to communication in health and social care settings
  • Introduction to equality and inclusion in health and social care settings
  • Introduction to personal development in health and social care settings
  • Introduction to duty of care in health and social care settings
  • Purpose of principles of independent advocacy
  • Dementia awareness
  • Provide support for leisure activities
  • Work with other professionals and agencies to support individuals with a physical disability

All employees are required to complete the mandatory units as well as select a few optional units to achieve this care qualification.

The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification equips the employee for progression working in adult social care. This qualification will include units including:

  • Promote communication in health and social care settings
  • Engage in personal development in health and social care settings
  • Promote equality and inclusion in health and social care settings
  • Principles for implementing duty of care in health and social care settings
  • Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
  • Understanding mental wellbeing and mental health promotion
  • Responding to the advocacy needs of different groups of people

Employees are required to complete the mandatory units as well as select a few optional units to achieve this care qualification.

The Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care is ideal for a senior carer or a supervisor aiming towards management but not quite in the job role. Some of the units the employee can expect in this care qualification include:

  • Advanced communication skills
  • Personal development in health and social care
  • Equality and diversity in health and social care
  • Facilitate person-centred assessment to support wellbeing of individuals
  • Understand personalisation in care and support services
  • Develop, maintain and use records and reports

All mandatory units and some optional units must be completed to achieve the diploma.

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care equips the newly appointed manager to drive your care company into the future. This management qualification ensures your employee understands their responsibilities and introduces sound practices to manage their staff.

This qualification is equivalent to a Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma and is ideal for an employee with at least 2 A-Levels or equivalent in Health and Social Care. The duration of this qualification is approximately 18 to 24-months.
