Have you heard of the new Kickstart programme, aimed to help people aged 16-24 into work?
Kickstart gives 6-month paid job placements for young people currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. The job placements should support the participants to develop the skills and experience they need to find work after completing the scheme.
Would you like to employ someone under the scheme?
Funding is available for 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus associated employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. Wrap around support funding is allocated per placement.
How can you get involved?
If you are unable to meet the minimum of 30 jobs to apply direct, you need to apply through an intermediary. But don’t worry! Social Enterprise Kent can help with that. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest. We will need to know:
- How many job placements you would like
- A basic Job Description
- Job location
