The Thanet Community Champions Awards recognise and celebrate the incredible work of Thanet’s Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations and individuals who have improved the quality of life for the community in Thanet. We also want to spotlight the power of doing good together, so that we can inspire others to organise and get active in their own communities. Such recognition not only celebrates their work but also inspires others to join and strengthen community bonds.
Your community champion could be a volunteer at a local group, a charity worker who goes above and beyond, or a young person from a local club who helps others. Maybe an unsung hero who just gets on with it and never complains, or an amazing charity leader who makes such a difference to other’s lives, or someone who has dedicated much of their life to charitable work. We all know someone who deserves special recognition. All we ask is that they are closely connected to a local voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation.
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the amazing people and organisations transforming our community!

“I am always impressed by the number of people who give their time to community groups and voluntary organisations in Thanet. The work that they do has such an important role to play in improving the lives of local people, in so many ways. The Community Champion Awards are a fantastic way for us to give them the recognition that they so deserve. I would encourage as many people as possible to submit a nomination; this is our opportunity to show how much we appreciate our local champions.”
