The training combines the theory behind good care with safe working practices and communication skills. It reflects the most common scenarios staff will face, including personal care, supporting people with dementia, handling medication, and working within the Mental Capacity Act.

The final day includes practical training in safer moving and assisting, including hoist use, enabling staff to protect both themselves and those they support.
