Course Content
Conflict is a natural part of working life. However, when it’s left unmanaged, it can lead to stress, low morale, and poor team performance. This one-day course gives you the tools to recognise, address, and resolve conflict constructively—creating a more respectful and collaborative workplace.
You’ll explore what conflict is, how to spot it early, and why people respond in different ways. Through discussion and real-life examples, you’ll understand how workplace tensions arise and how to respond with confidence.
The course introduces practical models of resolution, including the five approaches to conflict—competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding, and accommodating. You’ll learn when to use each method and how to respond flexibly in real situations.
In addition, we’ll focus on emotional intelligence and the impact of conflict on wellbeing. You’ll develop practical techniques to stay calm, manage strong emotions, and support others through difficult conversations. These skills are vital for anyone in a leadership or team-based role.
All content reflects best practice from ACAS and CIPD, helping your organisation promote fairness, reduce disputes, and build a healthier workplace culture. Whether you’re a line manager, team leader, HR professional, or frontline staff member, this course provides immediate tools to improve team relationships.
At Social Enterprise Kent CIC, we believe that strong teams are built on open, respectful communication. That’s why our training focuses on real-life strategies that you can apply straight away.
The course is delivered by an experienced facilitator and includes case studies, group discussion, and guided reflection in a safe and supportive space.
