Course Content

Building on the foundations covered in Excel for Everyday Work, this course takes participants deeper into Excel’s capabilities to help them manage data with greater precision and confidence. It’s ideal for anyone who already uses Excel but wants to use it more powerfully in their role — whether tracking budgets, preparing reports, or analysing project data.

Participants will explore logical and conditional functions such as IF, SUMIF, and COUNTIF, learning how to create formulas that respond dynamically to data changes. They’ll also practise data consolidation and working across multiple sheets — essential skills for managing complex spreadsheets or combining information from different sources.

The course also covers advanced formatting, merging cells, and text wrapping to keep documents clear and professional. Through hands-on exercises, delegates will learn how to create structured data tables and apply Excel’s built-in What-If Analysis tools to test different budget or forecasting scenarios.

Charts and graphs are introduced as tools for visualising data, allowing learners to present information in a clear, impactful way. The trainer supports each delegate to apply new techniques to their real-world tasks, ensuring the learning is practical, relevant, and immediately usable.

This session is especially valuable for small business staff, charity administrators, and finance officers who use Excel regularly and want to enhance their accuracy, efficiency, and understanding of its more advanced tools.
