Course Content

You’ll learn practical ways to offer support in a non-judgmental way, creating space for open dialogue and reducing stigma in the workplace or community.
A key part of the course involves developing confidence in starting supportive conversations. Learners are guided through best practices for listening, responding with empathy, and signposting to external resources like GPs, counselling services, or specialist organisations.
This training is ideal for anyone who wants to increase their mental health awareness—whether you’re a team member, volunteer, or line manager. It helps organisations meet wellbeing goals and foster a more inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
The qualification is accredited through Nuco Training, and successful learners will receive the Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health. Certification is valid for three years, with annual refreshers strongly recommended to keep knowledge up to date.
