Course Content
Learners will explore the signs and symptoms that may indicate a colleague is struggling, including changes in behaviour, increased stress, or reduced performance. The course introduces common conditions such as anxiety and depression and encourages reflection on how stigma can influence how people seek help—or hide their struggles.
Using interactive exercises and breakout discussions, managers will practise how to start open and respectful conversations around mental health, including knowing when and how to escalate concerns or signpost to appropriate help.
The course also explores the role of leadership in shaping a mentally healthy workplace. Managers will leave with practical ideas to promote a more open, understanding, and resilient team culture.
Delivered by an experienced trainer with a calm, down-to-earth approach, this course consistently receives positive feedback for its relatability and value. One participant shared:
“I learned an awful lot in just a few hours… the course was interactive, relatable, and so well delivered. I would highly recommend SEK to anyone in the Kent area.”
Each delegate receives a support booklet to reinforce learning and serve as a practical reference after the session.
