This advanced, two-day training is designed to give Designated Safeguarding Leads and other senior staff the clarity, confidence, and tools to lead safeguarding practice effectively, respond to concerns appropriately, and support a culture of safety across their organisation.

Delivered live by experienced trainers either face to face or online, this course offers a dynamic mix of presentations, discussion, case study exploration, and peer learning. You’ll explore complex safeguarding topics relevant to both children and adults, including how to manage internal barriers to disclosure and staff reporting, make appropriate and defensible decisions, and engage effectively in the safeguarding process after a referral is made.

You’ll also examine the emotional toll of safeguarding responsibilities and how to build internal support networks for yourself and your team. Key UK legislation and statutory guidance underpin the course throughout, with content adapted to reflect your organisation’s specific policies and procedures.
