Course Content
The training aligns with the Children’s Act 1989 and 2004, and supports the expectations set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children. It also references local authority safeguarding procedures and highlights the importance of multi-agency working.
You’ll learn how to manage disclosures professionally and with sensitivity, how to maintain appropriate boundaries, and how to ensure safe practice in your day-to-day work. The session also considers the wider impact of abuse on children and their families, and how your role fits into the wider safeguarding framework.
This course is suitable for anyone who works or volunteers with children, including those in schools, nurseries, after-school clubs, community groups, and children’s homes. Whether you are new to safeguarding or want to strengthen your knowledge, this course gives you the tools to respond confidently and responsibly.
