The digital world is fast-moving and ever-changing, making it vital for adults who support children to stay informed. This half-day course helps participants understand how children access and use the internet, how online risks evolve, and what steps can be taken to prevent and respond to harm.

The session includes current online trends, safety challenges, and common ways children may bypass controls or access inappropriate content. It also explores social media risks, online gaming, acronyms and coded language, and the impact of cyber bullying on mental health and behaviour.

Delivered online, this course is suitable for classroom teachers, DSLs, home schoolers, pastoral staff, youth workers, and carers. It aligns with statutory guidance from Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and the UKCIS Online Safety Framework.
