Course Content

Equality, diversity and inclusion are fundamental to creating workplaces where people feel respected, supported and able to contribute their best. This practical half-day course provides a clear understanding of EDI principles and explores how inclusive behaviours benefit individuals, teams and organisations.

You’ll examine the key provisions of the Equality Act 2010, including the nine protected characteristics, while exploring how discrimination, harassment and victimisation can affect colleagues, customers and workplace culture. Through realistic examples and discussion, you’ll gain a better understanding of unconscious bias and how it can influence decisions and everyday interactions.

The course also explores the shared responsibility of creating inclusive workplaces. Whether recruiting new staff, supporting colleagues or delivering services, you’ll learn practical ways to encourage fairness, challenge inappropriate behaviour and promote equal opportunities across your organisation.

By the end of the session, you’ll have greater confidence in applying inclusive practices that strengthen teamwork, support organisational values and help create a positive working environment where everyone can succeed.
