We're working with Active Kent and Medway in a Thanet Place Partnership, supported by Sports England.
Throughout 2026/27, our Community Connectors within our Community Engagement team will be supporting the vision of 'more people, more active, more often.
We are:
- Facilitating conversations and activities to listen, learn, and involve residents in shaping local priorities, ensuring diverse voices are heard.
- Supporting test-and-learn interventions for small pilot projects to understand what works and to identify new ways to overcome barriers to being active.
- Contributing to insight and evaluation to help understand local need and capture learning to inform future investment.
Where you live and your individual circumstances has a big influence on your activity levels. Across England, access to physical activity isn’t equal. Some places and communities face greater barriers to being active.
