Funded Training Opportunities

Making Quality Training More Accessible Through Funded Opportunities

Explore funded training opportunities for individuals and organisations, made possible through partnerships, public funding and community investment.

Partnerships That Create Opportunities

Our funded training opportunities give individuals and organisations access to quality training where some or all of the cost has been covered by a funder, commissioner or partner.

Opportunities change throughout the year and may be supported by local authorities, public bodies, businesses or other organisations investing in skills and communities.

Each programme has its own eligibility criteria, which may relate to location, employment, sector or other funding requirements.

Explore the programmes currently available below, or sign up for training updates to hear about new funded opportunities as they become available.

Fund Training Through SEK

Turn Your Social Value Commitments into Practical Training Opportunities

If your organisation is looking to invest in local skills, support communities or deliver against CSR, social value or community investment commitments, we can help turn that investment into practical training opportunities.

SEK can design and deliver funded training around the people, places and priorities that matter to your organisation. You might want to fund places for local charities, support a particular workforce or community, commission training within a specific geographical area, or develop a programme around an identified social value commitment.

Our training infrastructure means we can support the programme from initial design through to learner recruitment, booking, delivery and reporting. Depending on your objectives, this could range from sponsoring places on an existing course to developing a bespoke funded training programme.

As a Community Interest Company rooted in Kent and Medway, we combine established training delivery with knowledge of local organisations, communities and workforce needs.

How Could Your Organisation Get Involved?

Sponsor Training Places

Fund places on existing courses for an identified community, workforce or group of organisations.

Fund a Training Programme

Commission a programme of training around a particular theme, sector, location or identified need.

Support Local VCSE Organisations

Invest in skills and capacity-building for charities, social enterprises and community organisations.

Deliver Social Value Commitments

Work with us to develop training activity connected to relevant social value, community investment or contractual commitments.

Commission Something Bespoke

Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we can explore a training response designed around your objectives, audience and available funding.

Evidence Your Investment

Funded training should create more than attendance figures. We can agree appropriate measures at the start of a programme and provide proportionate reporting against the activity commissioned.

Depending on the programme, reporting can include:

  • bookings, attendance and course completion
  • organisations and sectors reached
  • geographical reach
  • learner feedback and evaluation
  • certificates issued
  • agreed learner or programme outcomes
  • case studies where appropriate and consented
  • financial value of training delivered
  • additional reporting or evaluation agreed as part of the commission

If you have specific reporting requirements or KPIs, talk to us at the outset so these can be considered when the programme is designed.
