SEK is delighted to be managing the Universal Wellbeing Contract for Older People across Thanet and the South Kent Coast. Commissioned by Kent County Council in 2021 this contract will provide wellbeing activities for any adult over the age of 55 (or under the age of 55 with complex needs) across Thanet, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe & Lyminge and Romney Marsh.
Working with partners across the contract region will see an exciting and vibrant range of activities for older people being developed through the next 3 years. SEK will also work to identify gaps in provision and support grassroots organisations with expertise and funding to fill them. We will also work with communities to tackle digital exclusion in some of the most deprived areas.
There are hundreds of activities taking place across Thanet and South Kent Coast from walking football to tai chi to gardening to coffee mornings, men’s sheds and Latin dancing!
To see the latest wellbeing activities in your area, please see below. These activities and events are open to anyone over the age of 55, or under 55 with complex needs.
If you have an idea for an activity in your area or you would like help setting up a group please get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
